Overview

Mitchell Scott, previously known as Gibbs Menswear, is a family-run and independent gentleman’s outfitter based in the North-East Scottish town of Inverurie. 

Celebrating 40 years in business as Gibbs we took the decision to change our name to ‘Mitchell Scott’ which will see our family-owned retail business shift its focus to Highlandwear whilst continuing to build on our own bespoke tailoring brand and Made to Measure service which all fall under the ‘Mitchell Scott’ label.

Mitchell Scott has been a part of our business for many years now as the label of our bespoke retail range and made to measure garments. With the increase in demand for both Highlandwear Rental and bespoke Made to Measure outfits we decided to combine all areas of our business under the ‘Mitchell Scott’ name.

Our Highlandwear range comprises of over 600 Kilts and Jackets which combine to make up over 100 different outfit combinations to hire.. We also offer an extensive range of Tartan Trousers and Kids outfits to hire.

In store you will find an excellent range of Highlandwear and accessories sourced by ourselves from leading manufacturers most of whom are based in Scotland.

Mitchell Scott bespoke Made to Measure offers you a unique and personal experience that is unrivalled in the North East of Scotland. Our Made to Measure suite in-store offers a relaxing space to pick the perfect combination of materials and accessories to create a unique and personal garment for you. Our experienced staff will be on hand to offer advice and guidance through our extensive range of material books and accessories.

We can't actually put into words how grateful we were to have you as our wedding kilt supplier. We appreciate everything you did for us, your service was first class. From start ot finish we really felt like you and your team cared about our day and what we were trying to achieve and you just completely put us at ease. We had no stress because we knew we were in the best of hands. Nothing was too much of a hassle for you even though we had family from Edinburgh & England to sort out too. Dave, my dad, our bridal party looked amazing in their kilts and the photos turned out incredible. We tagged you in a few so hopefully you got to see them on Instagram.
