Overview

Some couples would rather have a wedding that is a bit more laid back, a bit more intimate, but just as special as a grand, decadent celebration. That's how we do weddings at Cortes.

The house is large, but never imposing. Elegant, but not fusty. Spacious, but with an intimate feel. It makes for a magical venue. Our approach is to give you a blank canvas for your wedding: to allow you to choose exactly how you would like it.

Up to 50 people can dine in the manor house in a single reception room; up to 75 if you interconnect two rooms and up to 120 if you choose to hire a marquee in the grounds.

Cortes House sleeps up to 30 people in 10 beautifully designed bedrooms with two further bedrooms on the lower ground floor, as well as a table tennis room and cinema room. All of the fantastic features make Cortes House the ideal escape for intimate weddings, family get-togethers, holidays, parties, business functions and team building events. In recognition of this, it has been given a four-star luxury accommodation rating by Visit Scotland.

Thank you for letting us celebrate our Wedding day and night at your premises. The mansion was so beautiful and suited our needs. The rooms were huge and were decorated lovely.
